    This classic Khumbu triple-destination trek combines the turquoise glacial lakes of Gokyo, the challenging high-altitude Cho La Pass (5,420m), and the legendary Everest Base Camp (5,364m) — one of the most complete Himalayan adventures available.     Itinerary

    1. 1
      Day 1

      Arrival in Kathmandu

      Altitude: ~1,400 m | Overnight: Kathmandu

      Arrive in Kathmandu, meet your guide and review the trek plan, equipment and Lukla flight details.

      Day 2

      Kathmandu -> Lukla -> Phakding

      Flight: ~30 min | Trek: 3-4 hrs | Altitude: 2,610 m

      Take the early mountain flight to Lukla and begin trekking through the lower Khumbu Valley.

      Day 3

      Phakding -> Namche Bazaar

      Trek: 5-6 hrs | Altitude: 3,440 m

      Enter Sagarmatha National Park and cross several suspension bridges before the long climb to Namche Bazaar.

      Day 4

      Acclimatization Day in Namche

      Hike: 3-4 hrs | Sleep altitude: 3,440 m

      Spend a second night in Namche for acclimatization. Hike toward Everest View Hotel or Khumjung village, then return to explore the market and prepare for the higher trail.

      Day 5

      Namche Bazaar -> Dole

      Trek: 5-6 hrs | Altitude: ~4,200 m

      Leave the main Everest Base Camp trail and turn toward the Gokyo Valley.

      Day 6

      Dole -> Machhermo

      Trek: 4-5 hrs | Altitude: ~4,470 m

      Continue steadily up the valley past yak pastures and seasonal settlements.

      Day 7

      Machhermo -> Gokyo

      Trek: 4-5 hrs | Altitude: ~4,790 m

      Climb beside the Ngozumpa Glacier and pass the beautiful turquoise Gokyo lakes before reaching Gokyo village.

      Day 8

      Acclimatization Day + Gokyo Ri Hike

      Hike: 4-5 hrs | High point: ~5,357 m | Overnight: Gokyo

      Climb Gokyo Ri for one of the best panoramic views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

      Day 9

      Gokyo -> Thagnak

      Trek: 3-4 hrs | Altitude: ~4,700 m

      Cross the moraine of the Ngozumpa Glacier and continue to Thagnak. This is a shorter trekking day before the Cho La Pass crossing.

      Day 10

      Thagnak -> Cho La Pass -> Dzongla

      Trek: 8-10 hrs | Pass altitude: 5,420 m

      Start early for the demanding crossing of Cho La Pass. The trail includes steep rocky terrain and glacier sections before descending to Dzongla.

      Dzongla -> Lobuche

      Trek: 3-4 hrs | Altitude: ~4,940 m

      Rejoin the main Everest Base Camp trail and continue with a shorter walk to Lobuche.

      Day 12

      Lobuche -> Gorak Shep -> Everest Base Camp

      Trek: 7-8 hrs | Base Camp altitude: 5,364 m

      Follow the Khumbu Glacier moraine to Gorak Shep, then continue to Everest Base Camp.

      Day 13

      Kala Patthar -> Pheriche

      Hike and trek: 6-7 hrs | High point: ~5,545 m

      Climb Kala Patthar before sunrise for the best close-up views of Everest.

      Day 14

      Pheriche -> Namche Bazaar

      Trek: 6-7 hrs | Altitude: 3,440 m

      Descend through Pangboche and Tengboche, passing monasteries, forests and river crossings on the return journey to Namche Bazaar.

      Day 15

      Namche Bazaar -> Lukla

      Trek: 6-7 hrs | Altitude: 2,860 m

      Complete the final trekking day by descending to the Dudh Koshi River and following the familiar trail back to Lukla.

      Lukla -> Kathmandu

      Flight: ~30 min | Overnight: Kathmandu

      Fly back to Kathmandu, weather permitting, and transfer to your hotel.

      Buffer Day in Kathmandu

      Extra day for delays or rest

      Keep this day flexible in case of weather delays affecting Lukla flights or for additional sightseeing and relaxation in Kathmandu.

      Final Departure from Kathmandu

      End of trip

      Transfer to the international airport for departure or continue with additional travel plans in Nepal.
