    Itinerary

    1. 1
      Day 1

      Kathmandu/Pokhara -> Syabrubesi

      Drive: 7-9 hrs | Altitude: ~1,550 m | Overnight: Syabrubesi

      Travel by road to Syabrubesi, the usual trailhead for the Langtang Valley trek.

      Day 2

      Syabrubesi -> Lama Hotel

      Trek: 6-7 hrs | Altitude: ~2,470 m

      Begin walking along the Langtang Khola through forest, bamboo, suspension bridges and riverside settlements.

      Day 3

      Lama Hotel -> Langtang Village

      Trek: 5-6 hrs | Altitude: ~3,430 m

      Continue through rhododendron and pine forest as the valley opens toward Langtang.

      Day 4

      Langtang Village -> Kyanjin Gompa

      Trek: 3-4 hrs | Altitude: ~3,870 m

      Walk through yak pastures and mani walls to Kyanjin Gompa, the main high village of the Langtang Valley.

      Day 5

      Kyanjin Gompa Exploration Day

      Hike: 4-6 hrs | Optional high point: Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri

      Spend a second night at Kyanjin for acclimatization and mountain views.

      Day 6

      Kyanjin Gompa -> Lama Hotel

      Trek: 6-7 hrs | Altitude: ~2,470 m

      Retrace the Langtang Valley trail, descending past Langtang Village and forest sections to Lama Hotel.

      Day 7

      Lama Hotel -> Thulo Syabru

      Trek: 5-6 hrs | Altitude: ~2,230 m

      Leave the main valley and climb toward Thulo Syabru, a traditional hillside village with wide views across the Langtang region.

      Day 8

      Thulo Syabru -> Shin Gompa

      Trek: 4-5 hrs | Altitude: ~3,330 m

      Climb through oak, hemlock and rhododendron forest toward Shin Gompa. The route gains altitude steadily, so a relaxed pace is important.

      Day 9

      Shin Gompa -> Gosaikunda Lake

      Trek: 5-6 hrs | Altitude: 4,380 m

      Ascend above the forest line toward the sacred lakes of Gosaikunda. Reach the lakeside lodges and spend the evening near this important Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site.

      Day 10

      Gosaikunda -> Ghopte via Laurebina Pass

      Trek: 6-8 hrs | Pass altitude: ~4,610 m

      Cross the high Laurebina Pass, passing smaller alpine lakes before descending on rough stone trails toward Ghopte.

      Day 11

      Ghopte -> Kutumsang

      Trek: 5-6 hrs | Altitude: ~2,470 m

      Continue through forested ridges and small settlements as the trail gradually descends into the Helambu side of the route.

      Day 12

      Kutumsang -> Chisapani

      Trek: 6-7 hrs | Altitude: ~2,165 m

      Walk along rolling ridgelines with village and valley views before reaching Chisapani, a popular viewpoint on the edge of Shivapuri National Park.

      Day 13

      Chisapani -> Sundarijal -> Kathmandu/Pokhara

      Trek: 3-4 hrs | Drive: 1-2 hrs | End of trek

      Descend through forest and stone steps to Sundarijal, then drive back to Kathmandu.
